We strive to give you a great experience and we聽want you to be happy and live with who you want to live with. Sometimes that’s聽harder than it looks like it should be.
We have to make assignments based on application times, deposit times, living learning community preference, and several different factors that could delay the request.
Roommate requests will be honored whenever possible.
During the ‘Roommate Matching’ period
During the ‘Roommate Matching’ period, you will be able to select the roommate matching button located in your MyHousing Portal on my.uca.edu to being the roommate matching process.Roommate matching does not guarantee your roommate request, but applying early will increase your chances of being assigned together.聽You will not be able to search for your roommate until they have completed their housing application. The selected student must accept your roommate request in their MyHousing Portal before you are considered 鈥渕atched鈥�. Unmatched roommate groups will not be assigned together. All roommate groups must be “Verified” by the group leader within the Portal in order to complete the roommate matching process and be used for auto-assigning room placement with your preferred roommate.聽If anyone is removed or added from the group, the group leader must verify the group again.
Outside of the ‘Roommate Matching’ period
Outside of the ‘Roommate Matching’ period, all roommate requests will be assessed on an individual basis and processed by the Housing Staff according to room availability and a number of room change criteria.
